Cool Flo Air Conditioning

A £395 landing page brief for a Warwickshire air conditioning installer that kept growing, page by page, request by request, until it was a full site with its own branded email and WhatsApp click-to-chat, built and live inside a long weekend.

Project highlights

Quoted as a landing page

£395, one page, a working email address. That was the brief on a Wednesday lunchtime, and that was the price we held to even as the job grew underneath it.

Built around the client’s own research

Aid did the legwork himself, naming five direct Warwickshire competitors and a service structure to aim at, which shaped the copy and the keyword approach from day one.

Live by the weekend

Domain bought, email hosting configured, copy built out and the site unlocked for the public, all inside three days.

Need a site that can grow with the job?

Most small trade businesses start with “just a landing page” and end up needing a lot more. Ours are built so that when the ask grows, the site can too.

More about the project

About Cool Flo Air Conditioning

Cool Flo Air Conditioning is a Warwickshire-based installer run by Aid Blantford, providing domestic and commercial air conditioning across Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Alcester, Shipston-on-Stour and the surrounding area. The business covers the full job: consultation, system design, installation, commissioning and ongoing servicing and maintenance, for anything from a single bedroom unit through to multi-room and commercial installs.

The need

Aid’s first message set the scope in one line: “Ok so at this point just needing a landing page and email if that’s cool.” No domain registered yet, no web presence at all, and a business that needed to look credible fast. The whole build was quoted and delivered at £395, on the understanding that it was exactly what it said on the tin, a single landing page.

What Cool Flo came to us with

  • No domain name and no web presence, needing a landing page and a working business email address
  • Draft copy Aid had written himself, covering domestic and commercial air conditioning, installation, servicing and maintenance
  • A logo and an existing A5 print brochure to pull the brand from
  • A budget of £395, quoted and agreed as a landing page build, not a full site

The insight

Aid didn’t just hand over a brief, he did the market research himself: five named local competitors (Stratford Aircon, Warwickshire Air Conditioning, Taskair UK, Rowland Air Conditioning and AccuTemp), plus two more circling in from outside the area, and a clear observation that too many of them lead with generic “air conditioning installation” messaging. He even proposed the page structure to aim for eventually: Home, Commercial, Servicing, Maintenance and Heating air conditioning, plus location pages for Stratford, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Alcester and Shipston-on-Stour. That gave the landing page copy a sharper local focus than most one-pagers get, and left a ready-made roadmap for the day Cool Flo is ready to expand past it.

From there, the brief crept, request by request. A brochure to link to. A sample quotation document to show prospective customers what an install actually looks like on paper. A WhatsApp click-to-chat button next to the phone number, because “a lot of people like to WhatsApp now.” Every addition was small, and every time, both sides kept calling it “the landing page” anyway, half as a running joke: “it’s becoming a bit more than just a landing page..” “Don’t worry about the documents as that’s taking the piss and you’re right it’s a landing page.”

What we built

The domain, coolflo.org, was researched and registered the same day it was requested, along with a branded mailbox at info@coolflo.org. The copy Aid supplied was structured and tightened into a single well-organised page, styled around his logo’s navy and blue palette rather than a generic template, and built with the service and location structure he’d proposed already mapped out for future expansion.

The email, sorted properly

Full IMAP/SMTP mailbox setup at info@coolflo.org, plus hands-on troubleshooting when outgoing mail started rejecting replies, tracked down to missing username and password fields in the mail app’s settings.

What the £395 covered, in the end

  • Domain research and purchase (coolflo.org)
  • A branded mailbox at info@coolflo.org, with full IMAP/SMTP setup and live troubleshooting when sending broke
  • Landing page copy structured and tightened from Aid’s own draft, informed by his own competitor and keyword research
  • Brand styling pulled from the client’s logo and print brochure
  • A WhatsApp click-to-chat link added alongside the phone number, added mid-build on request
  • A sample quotation document earmarked to upload, so prospective customers can see what they’d receive
  • A future-ready page structure (service pages plus five Warwickshire location pages) planned in from Aid’s own competitor research, ready for phase two

Handover

The first message landed at lunchtime on Wednesday 16 September. The site was live and password protection removed by late morning on Saturday 19 September, three days including a full round of email configuration support and a same-day WhatsApp button addition once Aid asked for it. Nothing here was rushed at the cost of the client, it moved fast because the brief was clear and Aid was quick to send what was needed, competitor list, logo, brochure and social links, as soon as it was asked for.

WhatsApp, added on request

A one-line ask, “could we put my mobile with a whatsapp sign with the tel no??”, turned into a same-day addition sitting right next to the phone number in the header.
