Copywriting & Press Releases
Words that sound like your business, not a template
Website copy, blog content and press releases, written properly and structured to actually get read.
We write the words: website pages, blog and news content, and press releases that get picked up rather than ignored. Every page starts with a call, not a blank template with your business name dropped in.
Fifteen minutes, no pitch. Tell us what you need written and we will tell you what it actually takes to do properly.
The honest bit
Most business copy could belong to any business in the country
Generic claims, no specifics, and a tone that reads like it was written to satisfy a word count rather than to say anything. Readers can tell within a sentence, and so can Google, which increasingly rewards content with a genuine first-hand point of view over content assembled from common knowledge.
Good copy is specific. It names the actual problem your customer has, in the words they would use to describe it, and gets to the point. That takes a proper conversation about your business, not a questionnaire.
What you get
What we actually write
Structured to be read by a person and understood by a search engine, in that order.
Website page copy
Every page written from a call and whatever you already have, structured around what the visitor actually needs to know to get in touch.
Blog & news content
Written with a genuine point of view, not generic advice with your logo on it. The kind of content that gives search engines and AI tools something worth citing.
Press releases
Written to the format journalists and local news outlets actually expect, with the actual news lead first, not buried in the third paragraph.
A tone that stays consistent
One brand voice across the website, social media and press coverage, written down as a reference so it does not depend on which of us wrote it.
No surprises
What it costs
Project or retainer pricing depending on how much and how often you need writing done.
Questions
Things people ask
Do you write the copy for a whole new website?
Yes, this is usually bundled straight into a Business Websites project rather than bought separately, ask on the call which makes sense for you.
Can you write in our existing tone of voice?
Yes, if you already have one. If not, the first project usually ends with a simple tone-of-voice reference so it stays consistent afterwards.
Do you distribute press releases as well as write them?
We can send to a relevant local and trade press list if you want that included, ask on the call.
How does a content call work?
Fifteen to thirty minutes where we ask about the specific thing you want written, then draft it and send it back for your corrections, since you know the details only you know.
Is this AI-written?
No. We may use tools to speed up research, but everything is written and checked by a person who has actually spoken to you about your business.
Next step
Let's work out what you need
Fifteen minutes on the phone. Tell us what you are trying to fix and we will tell you what we would do and roughly what it costs. If we are not the right fit we will say so.
