Business Websites

Websites that bring in enquiries

Not compliments. Enquiries.

We build for nurseries, trades, recruiters, finance firms and anyone else who needs the digital side handled properly. Castleford based, and we build for businesses anywhere in the UK. Half our clients we have never met in person and it has never once mattered.

The honest bit

Most business websites were built once and then quietly abandoned

It happens the same way every time. Someone built it four years ago, they have stopped answering emails, and nobody at your end can change a phone number without paying for the privilege. It loads slowly on a phone. It does not show up when someone searches for what you do. The enquiry form goes to an inbox nobody checks.

Meanwhile the competitor two streets over sits above you in the map pack and gets the call.

A website is not a brochure you tick off. It is the thing standing between somebody wanting what you sell and somebody calling the other business instead.

What you get

Four things every site we build does

Not a feature list. These are the four that decide whether a website earns its keep or just sits there looking presentable.

01

Built around enquiries

Every page has one job and a clear next step. Phone numbers that work on a tap, forms that go somewhere real, and a route from landing to enquiry that does not make anyone think about it.

03

Fast on a bad phone signal

Compressed images, no bloated page builders, hosting that does not fall over. Half your visitors are on a phone in a van, a corridor or a car park with one bar.

04

Found, not just built

Search foundations go in from day one. Structure, speed, schema, Google Business Profile, and the technical work that decides whether AI tools can read your site at all. More on that further down.

Who we build for

We are not precious about staying in one lane

These are the four we know best. If you are not on the list, most of what makes a good website is the same everywhere, and we will tell you straight whether we are the right fit.

Nurseries & childcare

Parents are comparing you at 9pm on a phone

Ofsted report front and centre, real photos of your rooms rather than stock children, a waiting list form that works, and fees somewhere findable so you stop fielding the same call twelve times a week.

Trades

Stop paying for leads four other people also got

A directory sells your enquiry to everyone on its list. Your own site means it comes to you alone. Project galleries, service areas by town, accreditations where people look for them, and a number that gets tapped.

Recruitment

Job boards eat your margin

Your own vacancies, an application flow that does not lose people at the CV upload, and enough employer-side content to win the client, not just the candidate.

Finance & professional services

Trust does the selling

Credentials, real names and faces, plain-English service pages, and the compliance detail handled properly rather than bolted on at the end by someone hoping nobody checks.

Where we work

Castleford based. We build anywhere.

We are in Castleford, so if you are in Wakefield, Pontefract, Leeds or anywhere across Yorkshire we can sit in your office with a coffee and go through it properly. That is genuinely useful and we like doing it.

It is also not a requirement. Plenty of our clients are nowhere near us. The work runs on calls, a shared staging link and a project channel, and it makes no difference to the finished site. If you are in Cornwall, Glasgow or anywhere in between, get in touch the same way.

Getting found

SEO is part of the build, not an upsell

Every site we build goes live with the search foundations already in it. Clean structure and headings. Page speed sorted before launch, not after someone complains. Title tags and meta descriptions written for each page rather than left as the page name. Schema markup so search engines understand what your business is and where it operates. Google Business Profile claimed, completed and connected. Search Console and Analytics set up and handed over.

If you are moving from an existing site, we map and redirect every old URL to its new home, so you are not throwing away the search equity you have already built. Skipping that step is the most common way a redesign costs a business its traffic, and it happens constantly.

What we will not do is promise you position one. Nobody can, and anyone who does is either lying or about to define "position one" so loosely it means nothing.

The new bit

Your customers are asking ChatGPT

A growing number of people looking for a nursery in Pontefract or an electrician in Castleford are not typing it into Google any more. They ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Google's own AI summaries, and get back three names with no results page attached. If your business is not in that answer, you were never in the running.

This is Generative Engine Optimisation, or GEO. It is new enough that the market is full of people charging £1,500 a month for it, and a fair amount of what they sell does not survive contact with Google's own documentation. Here is our honest position.

What we do, because the evidence supports it

  • Check AI crawlers can actually reach you. OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot get blocked by robots.txt or bounced by server rules on more sites than you would believe. Free to fix, and easy to miss.
  • Make sure every page is indexed and snippet-eligible. Google state plainly this is the baseline for appearing in their AI features.
  • Claim and complete your Google Business Profile. Google list it as something that can help you show up in AI responses as well as ordinary search.
  • Organisation and LocalBusiness schema, so there is no ambiguity about who you are, what you do and where you do it.
  • Write content with something actually in it. Google draw a line between commodity content built on common knowledge and content carrying a real first-hand take. "7 Tips For Choosing A Nursery" is the first kind. "What our Ofsted inspection actually asked us, and what we changed" is the second.
  • Test where you appear now across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, screenshot it, and re-test quarterly so you can watch it move.

What we will not sell you

  • A place in ChatGPT's training data. No agency can guarantee or verify your content ends up there, and anyone selling it as a deliverable is selling you a coin flip.
  • A guaranteed AI citation. The answers change by user, by session, and by how the question is phrased.
  • An llms.txt file as a paid line item. We will add one if you want it, it takes ten minutes. Google have said Google Search ignores them, and server-log research found most were never requested at all.
  • Percentage claims with no starting number. A 2,000% increase from one referral to twenty-one is still twenty-one.
  • Panic. AI referral traffic is still a small slice of the total. It is climbing fast and converts well when it lands, which is why we build the foundations in as standard rather than sell you an emergency.

How it goes

Six steps, no mystery

  1. Email or WhatsApp

Tell us what you do, who you need to reach, what is not working now.

  2. A fixed quote

Written down, itemised, no moving parts. If the scope changes later we tell you before we do anything, not after.

  3. Words first

Every page gets written and signed off before anyone opens a design tool. Page structure, headings, the actual sentences, and the keywords they need to carry. We draft it, you correct the bits only you know. Nothing gets designed around placeholder text.

  4. Visual design

Now we lay it out, around the real content and the real lengths. You see it on a staging site before a line of it is built. Two rounds of changes included.

  5. Build and check

Speed, mobile, forms, accessibility, every link, every browser. You get the checklist.

  6. Launch and handover

Redirects mapped, Search Console submitted, and a recorded walkthrough so you can run it yourself.

Step three is the one most agencies skip, and it is why so many websites look sharp and say nothing. Design a page around a placeholder headline and you get a box that is exactly the wrong size for the sentence you actually needed. Write it first and the layout has a real job to do.

Most sites go live 3 to 6 weeks after content sign-off.
Shops and larger builds run 6 to 10. If we are going to miss it, you hear it from us first.

Straight answers

The things people actually worry about

Already have a website?

Then you probably do not need a new one from scratch. Half the time a Rescue rebuild on the same content does the job for less. We will tell you which it is on the call rather than quoting for the bigger job by default.

What if we are nowhere near you?

Makes no difference. Calls, a shared staging link and a project channel. We have built plenty of sites for people we have never stood in a room with.

What happens if we stop working together?

You take everything. Domain, hosting, files, content, all in your name from day one. Thirty days' notice on a care plan and we help you move it. Nobody should be able to hold your website hostage, including us.

We are picky about who we take on

If your budget will not stretch to something that works, we will say so rather than build you a compromise and take the money. And if another agency is a better fit, we will tell you that too.

Questions

Things people ask

How long does it take?

Most sites go live 3 to 6 weeks after the content is signed off. Shops and bigger builds run 6 to 10. Writing and approving the words is usually the longest stage, which is exactly why we do it before design rather than leaving it to the end.

Who writes the content?

We do, and then you fix it. You know your business, your prices and the things customers actually ring up about. We know how a page needs to be structured to get read and to rank. So we draft every page from a call and whatever you already have, you mark up what is wrong, and we go again. If you would rather write it all yourself that is fine too, we will give you the structure and word counts to work to.

Do I own the site?

Yes, outright. Domain, hosting, files, content, all in your name from day one. If you leave us we hand everything over. No lock-in, thirty days' notice on care plans.

Can I edit it myself?

That is the point. WordPress, set up so the things you actually change are easy to change. We do a walkthrough on a call and send you the recording.

Do you only work with Yorkshire businesses?

No. We are in Castleford and we like being able to drive over when it helps, but we build for businesses anywhere in the UK. Calls, a staging link and a project channel cover the rest, and the finished site is no different.

What if I already have a website?

That is the Rescue package. We rebuild it properly and map every existing URL across so the search equity you have built carries over rather than getting thrown away.

Will I be on page one of Google?

Not because we said so. We build the foundations in and they work, but ranking is a job that runs for months, not a switch we flip at launch. Anyone promising you position one is selling you something.

What does hosting cost after the first year?

It is in the care plan, from £35 a month, and that covers backups, updates, security and support. You are welcome to host elsewhere and we will help you move.

Can you pay in instalments?

Yes. Deposit and staged payments across the build. Just ask when you email or WhatsApp us.

Do you do motorsport too?

We do, and it is a separate part of the business with its own pages. Motorsport services →
