Bertie Bream continues GT Cup preparations with Innovation Racing

OTM driver Bertie Bream continued his build up to the 2026 GT Cup Championship with another productive month of preparation in February, gaining further seat time at Donington Park with Innovation Racing.

While there was no competitive racing during the month, the focus remained clear. Development. Consistency. Preparation.

Valuable wet weather running at Donington Park

Bertie returned to Donington Park for additional running in the Ginetta as part of his continued adaptation to GT machinery. The day focused heavily on pit stop practice and procedural work, key areas that often define race results in GT competition.

Conditions once again proved challenging, with wet weather preventing any slick tyre running. However, the outing still delivered valuable learning.

Driving in low grip conditions sharpened race craft fundamentals, including brake modulation, throttle control, and maintaining consistency as track grip evolved. In GT racing, adaptability is essential, and the extra laps strengthened Bertie’s confidence and familiarity with the car ahead of the season opener.

Showcasing the 2026 programme to potential partners

February also provided an important opportunity off track. Bertie hosted a potential 2026 partner at Donington, offering them a first hand experience inside the Ginetta and behind the scenes access to the Innovation Racing operation.

Introducing new audiences to motorsport at this level is always significant. From paddock preparation to on track execution, the day allowed insight into the professionalism, structure, and performance demands of the GT Cup Championship.

Experiencing the speed and intensity from inside the car provided perspective that simply cannot be replicated from the sidelines. The response was overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing the value of direct engagement as part of building a competitive programme.

Momentum building ahead of 2026

Although February did not include race action, it marked another step forward in Bertie’s 2026 campaign.

More seat time. Continued pit stop refinement. Constructive partner discussions.

Each element contributes to building momentum ahead of the new GT Cup season.

Preparation continues. The objective remains clear. Arrive at round one ready to compete.
