AI Search Visibility
Your customers are asking ChatGPT
Make sure your business is in the answer, not just in the search results.
A growing number of people looking for a business like yours are not typing it into Google any more. They are asking ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Google's own AI summaries, and getting back three names with no results page attached. If you are not in that answer, you were never in the running.
This is new enough that most of what is sold under this name does not survive contact with Google's own documentation. Here is our honest position.
The new bit
Generative Engine Optimisation, or GEO
It is new enough that the market is full of people charging £1,500 a month for it, and a fair amount of what they sell does not survive contact with Google's own published guidance. We read the actual documentation before we sell anything under this name.
The honest version is less exciting than the sales pitch. Being visible in AI answers mostly comes down to the same foundations that make you visible in ordinary search, done properly, plus a few AI-specific checks that take minutes and that most sites have never had run on them.
What you get
What we actually do
Six specific, checkable things. Not a promise, a list.
Crawler access, checked
OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot get blocked by robots.txt or bounced by server rules on more sites than you would believe. Free to fix, and easy to miss.
Indexing and snippet eligibility
Google state plainly this is the baseline for appearing in their AI features. We check every page is actually eligible, not just online.
Google Business Profile, complete
Google list it as something that can help you show up in AI responses as well as ordinary search. Cheap ground to take if nobody local has taken it yet.
Schema markup
Organisation and LocalBusiness schema, so there is no ambiguity about who you are, what you do and where you do it, for a machine reading your site rather than a person.
What we do, because the evidence supports it
- Fix crawler access, indexing and schema, as above.
- Write content with something actually in it. Google draw a line between commodity content built on common knowledge and content carrying a real first-hand take. "7 Tips For Choosing A Nursery" is the first kind. "What our Ofsted inspection actually asked us, and what we changed" is the second.
- Test where you appear right now across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, screenshot it, and re-test each quarter so you can watch it move.
What we will not sell you
- A place in ChatGPT's training data. No agency can guarantee or verify your content ends up there.
- A guaranteed AI citation. The answers change by user, by session, and by how the question is phrased.
- An llms.txt file as a paid line item. We will add one if you want it, it takes ten minutes. Google have said Google Search ignores them.
- Panic. AI referral traffic is still a small slice of the total. It is climbing fast and converts well when it lands, which is why we build the foundations in as standard rather than sell you an emergency.

No surprises
What it costs
One audit to see where you stand, then an optional monthly check to keep watching it, credited straight into any website package if you go ahead.
Questions
Things people ask
Can you guarantee we will be cited by ChatGPT?
No, and be wary of anyone who says yes. The answers change by user, session and phrasing. What we can do is make sure nothing technical is stopping you being eligible, and show you where you stand today.
Is this different from normal SEO?
It overlaps heavily. Most of what helps you show up in AI answers is the same technical and content work that helps you rank normally. The audit adds AI-specific checks (crawler access, prompt testing) on top.
How is this measured?
We run the actual prompts your customers would use across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, screenshot the results, and compare quarter to quarter.
Do I need a new website first?
No. The audit works on your existing site and tells you what to fix, whether that is a quick win or part of a bigger rebuild.
What is an llms.txt file and do I need one?
It is a proposed standard for telling AI crawlers about your site. Google has said Google Search ignores them, and server-log research found most are never requested at all. We will add one for you if you want it, it takes ten minutes, we just will not charge you for it as if it were a strategy.

Let's work out what you need
Fifteen minutes on the phone. Tell us what you are trying to fix and we will tell you what we would do and roughly what it costs. If we are not the right fit we will say so.
